The legality of the commercial sex industry has been a matter of intense debate worldwide. While some countries have formed considerable legal frameworks, many have strict prohibitive laws. The sex workers and their livelihoods have been affected due to the laws enforced. What worsens their situation is the rising cases of human trafficking where these sex workers are exploited and forced to work even if they desire otherwise. The delegates of the Commission on Status of the Women are expected to form sensible solutions, solve issues and debate deliberately upon this topic.
